Hi Everyone,

*fiction by my point of view but could be a reality for someone*

Husband back from office after toiling all day, enters house and dumbstruck by what he sees there.  He finds his house decorated with candles.  He was trying to figure out what special day he has missed from the calendar.  Trying to recollect all important dates (it’s very well known that men have difficulty in remembering important dates) he moves further in the house.  He was enchanted by the aroma in air.  And even more mesmerised by the beauty of his wife who just appeared from kitchen with a tea-tray in her hands.  He was wondering when was the last time he admired beauty of his partner.  She was glowing in the light of candles. While he was lost in his thoughts and questions he was awakened by his wife’s question. “How was your day at office?” she enquired…

Gender Equality- Men’s Perspective

I am writing about a  very casual discussion that I had with one of my male friends.  The discussion was about “Gender Equality”.  One of the most talked about, debated topic. One of my favourite too.  Many feel it should exist, many others feel it can be done away with as both genders can never be on the same scale of equality and very few think it does exist.  The count of people belonging to the third category is so small that could be dismissed.  Basically, we are left with two opinions/ sects/ mind frames.

Hi Everyone,

I am writing about a  very casual discussion that I had with one of my male friend.  The discussion was about “Gender Equality”.  One of the most talked about, debated topic. One of my favorite too.  Many feel it should exist, many others feel it  can be done away with as both genders can never be on same scale of equality and very few think it does exist.  The count of people belonging to the third category is so small that could be dismissed.  Basically we are left with two opinions/ sects/ mind frames.

So it was during one of our casual conversation that eventually paved way for our discussion regarding gender equality I got an idea about how men perceive gender equality.  It all started when I came across a news related to domestic violence against women.  Being a women I naturally felt disturbed and expressed…

House: Rented, Home: Own

You are in one corner of the room and suddenly you realise few fingers dabbed in ketchup or coated with chocolate are about to rise and smear it all over the spotless walls. What’s your reaction?  Suddenly you don the hat of a sprinter, covering miles in nano seconds just to foil the attempt to taint the walls.

Hi Everyone,

If you are putting up in a rented accommodation with or without infant(s) you would know what exactly my point is:

You are in one corner of the room and suddenly you realise few fingers dabbed in ketchup or coated with chocolate are about to rise and smear it all over the spotless walls. What’s your reaction?  Suddenly you don the hat of a sprinter, covering miles in nano seconds just to foil the attempt to taint the walls.

Let’s peep into another situation.  You want to adorn the walls with memories of your vacation and you hesitantly go ahead and hang those precious moments on the walls.  Next time when the guest called “Owner of the house” visits you, instantly gives you a look from the corner of eye as if saying “you have nailed it” which you can literally😁 and very smartly puts across the proposal…

Dear Boss, I Don’t Want A “Hike”

Since I understand your undying, unconditional love for me and I can’t see you suffering for my benefits I would like to propose an idea.  I don’t want “Hike”.   How about an I-phone 7 or a family package of paid holiday (offshore) every six months or anything equivalent every year.  Or even better (from family’s perspective): if either education expenses or medical expenses are being taken care of I don’t want “Hike”.

Hi Everyone,

This is for everyone who has a boss, who has an appraisal system and awaits a hike and gets it too but only to leave more astonishment behind.

Dear Boss,

I am writing to let you know how much I respect you.  You are the reason behind my fitness.  You may be amused to know and want to know how.  Simple, because you make sure my chase for my dreams never ends which means more you run more you loose and stay fit!  And I am loosing a lot!  You are the reason behind my peaceful life.  You might be wondering how.  Because by the time I reach home television starts showcasing tele-shopping products and at that hour there would be no one around to talk. Less talks, lesser arguments, least number of fights.  Family life is “piece”ful.  Thank you again.  You are the reason behind my popularity on…

Hi Everyone,

It is said that Paris is the city of romance and fashion capital of the world.  I agree to that.  It’s been seven years when I first visited this city  just a month before my first wedding anniversary as we were supposed to celebrate our first anniversary with family in India.  I was very excited (who won’t be) after all it was my first visit to the French capital which I have been seeing only on television and first time comes only once in life.  We boarded Thalys, the superfast train plying between Brussels and Paris and duration of the journey was about 1 hour 15 minutes.  After reaching there and checking in our hotel room we chalked out plan for our three days.  Prepared a bucket list, which place needs to be visited first and so on.  We decided to take metro for reaching various destinations in the city.  Talking about the…

Dear you, From Me.

Moylom Art Studio

Dear you,

You’ve opened up a part of me
That has been closed for a while.
You’re showing me things
I haven’t seen in ages —
Things I thought I’d rather not see anymore,
But now I find pleasure in them again
And it’s a wonderful feeling,
Thanks to you.

The images of the future
I see through your eyes
Are not what I envisioned on my own.
My visions were distorted by past hurt,
But with you there’s a thrill of anticipation
As we look towards a glorious, new horizon.
You’ve renewed my hope in finding ‘true’ love
And incase you didn’t know, you complete me.

I wake up thankful everyday knowing
That had we met 20 yrs ago
We might not have been
Right for each other as we are now.
We needed to face our own trials;
We needed to endure our own pain;
We needed to…

Candles Online

“Empty pockets teach you a million things,” this was said to me by a leading practitioner who happens to be my relative. I was very young then, in no position to understand what he meant. Few years down the line, when he was in his mid-50’s, he was diagnosed with Leukaemia (advanced stage), it came as a blow to us all. His fight against the disease was valiant but short-lived, yet, he left his family with more than enough resources to go on. Time went by, and soon his family was left with little funds, call it bad luck or bad investments, as per my cousin “Our ship sank cause it lost its captain in high tides.” The truth, however, was a bit different and bitter. My uncle worked hard, putting his blood and sweat into making that fortune was betrayed by his kin after his death. His only son…
